Description: Job Description This position reports directly to HSE Director II or above. Must have the ability to provide leadership to a project team, and guidance/direction in Loss Prevention, Offshore Safety Case studies and QRA.  The purpose of this position is to execute technical and functional responsibilities related to HSE, supervise the HSE function; be responsible for the development and implementation of Company HSE policies, procedures, and methods; be cognizant of the issues and challenges facing the Company and coordinate the strengths, resources, and capabilities to achieve the Company's goals and objectives; use progressive work and educational experience to increase knowledge and improve expertise; and demonstrate a knowledge-sharing behavior with the overall objective of helping to create and sustain a productive work culture through health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Company's employees. Oversees the implementation of HSE departmental functions in regard to auditing, training, incident investigation, software, tools, Company HSE policies, procedures, and methods designed to drive the Company's HSE culture and meet the Company's HSE standards and goals through an expert knowledge of the Company's HSE standards, programs, and goals Manages the overall direction and coordination of HSE projects with a scope, usually in terms of Total Installed Cost, of over $1 billion by identifying and approving HSE project plans, contractual agreements, schedules, activities, and milestones to ensure a balance between productivity and the safety of team members, sub-contractors, and visitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; liaises with clients, non-governmental organizations, regulators and units within or outside the department or project Supervises and approves preparation of labor and expense budgets by establishing project staffing requirements and advises Company Sales in corporate staffing requirements with budgets and schedules Provides technical and general supervision to direct reports through interpretation of Company HSE practices and procedures in relation to current legislation and regulations; plans and develops projects concerned with unique or project-specific issues Provides mentoring/people development for direct reports Provides overall management direction and coordination for project personnel which includes the ability to formulate and make recommendations and decisions that will have a significant impact on business line quality policies and programs Other related duties/functions may be assigned Basic Job Requirements 20 + years industry experience with focus in HSE in Design/Process Safety for Offshore facilities. Requires project design execution experience with an engineering and construction firm. Ability to provide leadership to a project team, and guidance/direction in Loss Prevention, Offshore Safety Case studies and QRA. Ability to develop/generate HSE deliverables documents and fire protection design drawings, as well as squad check and approve documents generated by others. Ability to interact with other disciplines on the project to ensure that the HSE and fire protection requirements are incorporated into the design. Ability to drive the fire protection and HSE design decisions on the project.
